Deba knife, blade length 15.1cm, 230g. The back is about 8.8mm thick near the top of the heel. It's engraved with "Hiroaki," a brand from a while back. It's only found on the used market. I believe it was a Tokyo brand. This is a genuine kasumi (laminated steel) knife, with soft iron and steel bonded together. The shape is slightly off, and the shinogi line is bent, but it shouldn't affect use at all. Most of the rust stains have been removed, but there are still faint marks and small scratches, so please check the photos carefully. The handle has some wear around the ferrule, but it seems like it will last for a while. I sharpened it thoroughly, put an edge on it, and polished it.
