Thank you for viewing. This is a tenor bass (convertible with a tenor goose) by Erich Lange, a direct disciple of the last master craftsman at the Heckel workshop (see photo 20). It is believed to be from the late 1930s. As he was a disciple of Heckel, the snake decorations are very similar (see photos: silver plating is Lange, no lacquer is Heckel). Lange's instrument workshop still exists today (https://www.musikhaus-lange.de). The shank is a medium-thin bore. A medium-thin bore mouthpiece is included so you can play it right away (I can't remember the manufacturer's name). The inner slide is made of nickel silver and is not chrome-plated. The slide has been adjusted, so you can operate the slide with Yamaha slide oil. However, you cannot expect the operability of a modern instrument. There is silver plating wear on the inside of the bell. There are also small dents and scratches. We offer it at a low price with only minimal adjustments. It is a very valuable and rare instrument.
